Had to bring my kid in for a special x-ray for braces & everything went smoothly until after i left & got home, i... received a call stating i was needed to come back in to fill out some paperwork that they forgot i needed to fill out. well i drove back (lumberton to Port Arthur) & come to find out there was no need for me to make the trip due to no paperwork needing to be filled out on my end (even though i was told there was) so i left. Needless to say i understand mistakes happen, but apparently someone wasnt on the same page as everyone else.read more

Office is clean, front desk was friendly enough. The only reason I’m giving two stars is because of the hygienist... Megan, she was great with my son and did a great job cleaning his teeth. Then when she went out we sat here and waited for like 45 mins then someone came in and said “oh the dentist didn’t come in sorry we didn’t know you were in here” so they forgot about us, and then the dentist was honestly a bit rude and condescending when I asked questions, had an attitude because my 5 y/o son had grabbed the used floss off the tray… why I don’t know it was used on him. Won’t be coming back.read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. I got my braces removed a couple months ago after a 1year treatment and my teeth are worst... that when I started. Seems like the odontologist there doesn't care about the patients he barely checked my teeth on my monthly appointments. The doctor said I was ready to get them removed but when I got them removed I noticed my teeth looked weird and aligned weird so I asked the person who removed them and he said they were good. Which is definitely not the case.read more

I went in today for an initial appointment to see if I could get some help with a few teeth that were giving me a lot... of pain. Dr Tran and Nurse Kylah if I could give you guys more than 5 stars I would. No wait went right back made me feel extremely comfortable. I did not have a good experience with customer services/ Receptionist.I asked them to send over X-Rays in 2022 Two... months passed and they never did send the X-rays. I called back to follow up and she never gave me a explanation as to why they were not previously sent. She asked for the email address and said they would send them. 2 days later they were never sent. I called back and they asked me if I signed a release form. I stated nobody never told me anything about having to sign a release form. She said it went in affect today and they no longer could release the X-rays. They never not once in the 4 months time period tried to send the X-rays. Bad business is what I call that. Poor communication with clients. Things could have been done a lot better!read more

I got my braces done here January 2017 recently got them taken them off August 19,2022. They told me my treatment would... be a 1yr and a half. Well it changed to 5yrs, overtime. They had to change doctors within the treatment. Cause the previous one left. I’m not happy with my experience because I still have gaps. I told them before they took it off that I don’t feel comfortable. They told me to sign the paperwork anyways and that the doctor would talk to me. Now they want to say it’s my fault because I signed the paperwork. However the receptionist told me to sign it in order to get seen. Now I have gaps in my teeth but won’t be able to talk to the doctor till next month because they only come once a month. You think after 5yrs my teeth would be 100% perfectread more

Let me start by saying that I haven’t been to a dentist for a check up in about 7 years. And it’s been 14 years since... I’ve had any kind of dental work. But my experience here was fantastic! The service was great, and the staff was very friendly. I would have given 4 stars if the staff had explained things to me a little bit more. I had to ask lots of questions. ... It felt like I was forcing them to work. Other than that, I think the dental work was done well and I am satisfied! Also, I was thankful the staff called to check on me the day after my surgical extraction. Overall it was a good experience. I edited my review to add that every time I go in for my routine cleanings they tell me I need all this work even though when I was here 6 months ago everything was fine. How do my teeth get that bad in 6 months? I feel like they are trying to make money off of me. I decided to find a new dentist.read more

I needed an emergency extraction they saw me that day and was able to help me. I could not wait until Monday as some... dentists has requested. This was on a Friday. Pain was at a 9 1/2 with pain med. Thank God the extraction was with little and no pain including the shots for pain. I thank God for them. They even saw me in early in the morning. Gave medicine as needed. I was and well pleased. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The cost very reasonable. Thank God for all.read more

Everyone was so nice! The new girl at the front desk (I didn't catch her name) was so patient & handled my confusing... situation & questions well when I called yesterday to book my appointment. I was having excruciating pain with teeth. They were able to see me immediately. Dr. Garg and her assistant Lorena... performed an amazing job on doing 3 fillings for my cavities and a cleaning. Very professional and courteous people throughout the entire office. Today, I had 2 teeth pulled. No pain at all. Dr. Gandhi was very kind and made sure I was not in any pain. Absolutely disappointed with how this establishment handles their appointments. Have been trying to get in since... October of last year to get my teeth cleaned and whitened for my wedding. They rescheduled me understandably due to Beta, and I’ve never been able to get in with them since. Three times now I’ve driven over 30 minutes to their location since they’re the only ones I can find open on a Saturday, and have walked in to be told I didn’t have an appointment and it was a specialist day only (I have the cards they wrote and scheduled for me), tell me their call center had attempted to reach me and offer to reschedule me, which leads to me postponing my family plans to drive over there AGAIN to be told I again don’t have an appointment and it’s a specialist day yet again. Finally had to pull a Karen and speak with the office manager to be able to get in to get a simple cleaning done, and was also told there was no notes where ANYONE had even attempted to reach me. Ridiculous.read more

Everyone is so nice and helpful, I was really worried about my son after he fell and injured his teeth and my 4 year... old was terrified, the assistant made sure to take the time and explain everything to him and even let him touch the equipment first. Haven’t been to a dentist in a long time! Didn’t wanna deal with the experience again. Called this place looking to get... a procedure done. They had me in the office in a couple hours. Had all my insurance and prices confirmed for said procedure. Staff was great and very friendly. Never have I ever been looking forward to getting any dental work done. They have changed my mind. I'm sure I left a review before but I really LOVE this place! The last dentist my daughter went to was very forceful... with the treatments, which made her scared and uncomfortable. I switched to Port Arthur Smiles and my daughter (4 yrs old) loves it and gets very excited when it's time for an appointment. They take their time with her and if something scares her or makes her nervous, they try a different technique until they find something that she's comfortable with. They have a new dentist Dr. Kiran and he's great with kids! The staff is always so nice! I brought both of my kids here... back in June 2019 when they had two dentist at the time. I didn't leave happy and wasn't planning to come back. But I am so glad I came back and that they have a new dentist! We're self pay with no insurance and they have very good negotiable prices. He had excellent bedside manner, explained everything clearly... and treated me like a person and not like a dollar sign....I most definitely recommend this place. I haven't been to dentist in over two years...I was a bit nervous to say the least. My experience was nonetheless... great. The staff here are amazing. Cynthia worked with me on payment arrangement and rest assured I will be able to afford all the work I needed to get done.Dr. Kim was AMAZING. She really wants the best for her patients. She was really thorough with my visit. She walked me through every thing she was going to do and explained why it needed to be done. After examining my mouth she found a sensitive way to improve my overall mouth. She took the time to teach me how to properly brush by showing me in my mouth and helping me understand each step. She gave me better insight on flossing as well. After 43 years I officially know how to correctly brush my teeth.read more

These people are AMAZING!! Been in pain for 3 days with this tooth, called at 8 when they opened and they said "come on... in now and we will see what we can do." Went in and waited maybe 15 minutes tops before being called to the back. Got xrays and plan of extraction within a few minutes of being in the back. Extraction was needed!! Thank the Lord I didn't have any infection. They were so kind and gentle, very informative on the healing process and very helpful. I will be back to see then. I highly recommend them. The office was clean and the staff courteous and well spoken. God bless this office. I swear they are life savers.read more

I really enjoy my experience at Port Arthur Smiles I get all my work done over there friendly staff, Jennie excellent... Dentist , Dr. Kiran never had a problem over there I totally recommend them to anyone looking for a Dental Family.
